 About Us

Regency Preservation is a family run business based in Hertford and operating in London and the Home Counties.

They are well known in the remedial treatment industry with the company being owned and managed by Stuart and Tim England for over twenty years. Stuart is the Senior Surveyor, and Tim, the Contracts Manager.

Hitchin Damp & Timber was established by Chris Bradburn in 1989.

People's expectations of service and the range of skills that a specialist company provides has changed over time, and we set out to provide our clients with as much or as little as they need. We do the whole job, or just the specialist bit. Twice, in the early nineties, we won commendations by Hertfordshire Business Awards, for newly established businesses. Chris remains part of the team as a Surveyor.

To ensure the long-term survival and security of our businesses, we merged on the 1st June 2007, finally completing the process in 2015.

All guarantees previously issued continue to be honoured, according to the original terms and conditions of that guarantee, with no change resulting from the merger.

At RegencyHDT, our surveyors are highly experienced and either hold or are working towards their professional qualification, the Certificated Surveyor in Remedial Treatment. Our technicians are directly employed by the Company. When we need specialists in other trades, such as electricians, we work with qualified tradesmen who are well known to us.

We are members of the Property Care Association, the Wykamol Users Group, and the Contractors Guarantee Scheme all of whom oversee professional standards of service and work in our specialist field.

About Us   Did You Know?   Contact Us Contact Us
We are experts in timber treatment, condensation cures, damp proofing and cellar conversions. We work in London and throughout the Home Counties area, mainly in Essex and Hertfordshire. We are a well-established family firm, and have built our business on our good reputation. Our work is carried out by our own staff and is usually backed by a long-term insurance-backed guarantee.   Condensation occurs when warm moist air comes into contact with a cooler surface. If the surface temperature is at or below the point where moisture vapour held in the air condenses, the Dew Point, then water droplets form on the surface.   RegencyHDT
