3. Wykamol Renovating Plaster

Description
Wykamol Renovating Plaster is a pre-mixed cement-based lightweight plaster containing Perlite aggregate and water-repellent additives and is manufactured under a quality system complying with BS EN ISO 9001:1994. It is particularly useful where improved thermal performance is required, reducing the risk of condensation on external walls. It should be used as detailed below and in accordance with the general recommendations in BS 5492:1990 Code of Practice for Interior Plastering. May also be used in conjunction with Wykamol Render Additive 611, a wax-emulsion based waterproofing additive suitable for lime-based mixes, thereby improving the overall resistance to moisture and salts.

Site Work
Mixing: Machine mixing time should not exceed 5 minutes. When mixing by hand add half the contents of the bag to water (approx. 12-14 litres) and mix. The remainder of the bag can then be added (with more water if required) to obtain the correct consistency. It is easier to use Wykamol Renovating Plaster if it is allowed to stand for several minutes prior to application to the wall.

Application
Wykamol Renovating Plaster is applied in one coat 10-15 mm thick. If greater thicknesses are required additional coats can be applied. The surface should be combed or lightly scratched between coats and prior to application of the finishing coat to provide a mechanical key and should be stopped at least 25mm short of the floor.

About Us   Did You Know?   Contact Us Contact Us
We are experts in timber treatment, condensation cures, damp proofing and cellar conversions. We work in London and throughout the Home Counties area, mainly in Essex and Hertfordshire. We are a well-established family firm, and have built our business on our good reputation. Our work is carried out by our own staff and is usually backed by a long-term insurance-backed guarantee.   There are two main types of fungi which cause decay in timbers, Dry Rot and Wet Rot. Both require timber to become wet and to remain wet for some time. Therefore keeping the property dry is the first line of defence against fungal attack.   RegencyHDT
